C4i was founded in 1989 and established an office in South Melbourne, Australia. In 2000, C4i opened a U.S. subsidiary office in Washington to cater for the ever-growing American market, and in 2012, opened a subsidiary business in Singapore to better address Asian and Middle Eastern markets. As one of the LongReach Group family of companies, C4i was first to market in 2005 with IP-based tactical military radio control systems. C4i has established a large number of sales partners in the Middle East and Asian regions and continues to expand year on year.

In the past 20 years C4i has secured a number of high-profile local and international organizations as clients, such as: the US Air force, US Navy, US Army, Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force, Lockheed Martin, the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Northrop Grumman, the Danish Police Force, Boeing, the Taiwan Department of Defense, Thales, the Mexico National Defense Force, BAE, and Raytheon.
